Korean Drama: Iljimae ❤ Lee Jun Ki

Annyeonghaseyo! ...my M.I.A. (missing in action) doesn't mean that I got over my Hallyu addiction. I'm still as crazy in ❤ as ever! :-)

I tried to be as updated as possible to all things about KDramas and of course the apples of my eye, which, will probably best to call them, Candy Boys. Just in case, Candy Candy is a Japanese anime based on a manga. It remember seeing it as a child :-)...and true enough, Candy is pretty, but the boys there are as pretty, and as lovable as her. :-) Which I guess is similar to the stars of KDramas. So obviously, one of Candy Boy is Jang Keun Suk, since I seemed to rave most about him in my past posts. But my list goes on...haay! How can there be so many of them in Korea! ❤ much!  And more than their pretty face, they can act! They make me fall in love, cry, laugh, giddy, inspired, and so on. Oh well! It always feels great to be young and in love!
Lee Jun Ki as Iljimae
But what made me started writing about it again, was I had this epiphany again (that deep! haha!:-) After running out of feel good, romantic comedy Kdramas to watch (believe me, I've tried watching all and as much as I can!), I gave Iljimae a try, well because I saw Lee Jun Ki in My Girl, and he's a remarkable actor, not to mention, my Candy Boy too! The whole 20 episodes, I watched like crazy. For a historical drama, the scenes are not actually dragging to watch...get ready for both heart warming and heart breaking moments! The whole time, my hurt flutters. The characters' lives and roles are so intertwined, and if their unfolding are not  interestingly presented, one can actually get lost in what is like the ultimate game of twisted fate that they are all playing.

Here's a brief summary I picked up from My Soju...

Lee Jun Ki
Set during the Joseon Dynasty, Yong (Lee Jun Ki)  acted as a hooligan in the marketplace by day but at night he was a thief who robbed corrupted government officials to give to the poor. After each robbery he left behind a painting depicting a plum tree branch to make his mark and was thus named Iljimae. His main purpose was not so much to rob but to search for the owner of a specially designed sword which he saw as a child was used to kill his father, a loyal subject of the emperor.

♥Baby and I Movie♥

This is another lovable movie from Jang Keun Suk. This is Beethoven Virus meets You're Beautiful's Jang Keun Suk character. It's a funny movie with a lot of ♥! :-) Plus the baby is so cute! You can't help falling in ♥ with him just as JKS' character did.

The movie is about Joon-soo (Jang Geun-suk), becoming a student father. Han Joon-su is a tough 18 year old high school kid. He's also lucky to be born with money. He drives a posh motorcycle while armed with his killer smiles and looks! (Awww!) But trouble seems to always find him. He does so in defending his friends. Which made Joon-su's parents to decide to go out of town to teach him a lesson for being irresponsible. With this is cancelling his credit card and leaving him with only little money for spending. Instead of feeling terrible and lonesome, a party is called over their house. He goes shopping and comes upon an unexpected surprise- a baby sitting in a shopping basket wearing the name tag "Han Wooram" and points to Joon-soo as his father! Still unsure, he takes the baby home and thereon starts his adventures with him.

Head Over Heels in ♥ to Jang Keun Suk (장근석)

This is me blogging my "eelness"!♥♥♥ Oh well! What can I say, I'm an eel at least for Jang Keun Suk! :-) He actually calls us fans as eel, because it's one of his favorite dish and source of nourishment. That's him saying that he ♥ his fans as much! (Aww! Sweetness!)

See more of him...

The Case of Itaewon Homicide Movie

I'm on a Jang Keun Suk's (JKS) movies/dramas marathon ...In my quest to get up close and personal with him, I'm dedicating a week of watching most of his work. In this movie, as always, he showed his versatility as an artist! The movie is actually based on a real events. It's actually a case gone cold. It remained to date an unsolved murder case.
JKS plays Robert Pearson, an American Citizen (half Mexican/half Korean) studying in Korea. A college student, Jong-pil Jo, with his girlfriend went to dine at a (Burger King in real events) burger chain in Itaewon, Seoul. The boy is later found stabbed to death in the restroom of the restaurant. Two Korean-Americans, (JKS) Pearson and Alex, are known to have gone into the bathroom after Jong-pil Jo and become prime suspects. The prosecution must now determine which of the two committed the crime.

Struck by Korean Fever:You're Beautiful!!♥

Annyeonghaseyo! This is an excerpt from my other blog that I posted over a week ago...Thank goodness, I survived! I had been very sick for the past 2 days, it was like a major attack of some viral infection. I woke up Monday morning with lethargy to the highest level as an understatement. I can't literally get myself out of the bed. My fever went as high as 40C and the calm before the storm, the chilling, was really too much to take. It went on until yesterday. I was prescribed antibiotics and keep popping pain/fever reducers.

♥My A.N.JELL♥
So what triggered it? My guess was I tried taking Chinese slimming coffee (leisure 18) as another desperate move to lose weight. The effect of it was to have little or even zero appetite, but as expected I still got some palpitations attack at night time. Believe me when I say that this brand is supposedly the mildest in terms of palpitations, thirst, sweating etc., so I actually ended up crossing my 3-day thresh hold with Chinese diet pills/coffee. Silly me! Came Monday, I felt like crying!

In those days of being under the influence of diet pills, and in those restless nights, I ended up watching again one of my most ♥ Korean Drama, "You're Beautiful"! I ended up staying up Saturday night until 6am of Sunday. With a 2 hour sleep (6am-9am), I ended up reading recapped episodes of it most of Sunday. And then another midnight screening continuation Monday. I watched these series months ago online even before it started showing here. But I just can't seem to can't get enough of it! ♥ the story and ♥ the OST! So I guess, my addiction to it got me the best of it --literally Korean Drama Fever!

Please read through more of my ravings of You're Beautiful!...♥♥♥

I'm Jang Keun Suk's Official Fan! ♥

Annyeonghaseyo!  To formally start my Noona Diaries, here is my entry No.1...I 'm an Official Fan! Jang Keun Suk's official site is  is called Jang Keun Suk Story Vol.2. Finally, my application went thru! I tried it yesterday but the JOIN button is not working even with other browsers. Thank goodness I'm in!...and guess what?! haha, I even left a fan letter! Cheesy! Sweetness!

Although I haven't really figured out some of the things written, cause some of the prompts cannot be copied, hence cannot be translated!  Hopefully, in the near future!

Over the weekend I tried reading some of the post in the free board...it's great to know that fellow "eels" are as friendly and are willing to help out especially to newbies & to non-korean speakers. I also learned that I need to pay 10,000won to become a full member and be able to read messages from the JKS. Awww! I wish I could find someone to that for me from there because I heard that the wire transfer fee from here is more than the actual fee. But maybe I can hold out a little longer and wait for the 2011 membership opening.

More hallyu ravings coming! ♥♥♥
